The RSC Northern have 9 groups that meet on a regular basis. The groups are:

Accessibility and Inclusion Group
RSC Northern Accessibility and Inclusion meets three times per annum to discuss the use of assistive technologies to improve aspects of accessibility and inclusion.

RSC Northern Advisory Group meets three times per annum and is made up of regional stakeholders, chairs of groups and forums and invited persons who can ensure that the needs of the region are met.

RSC Northern e-Learning Group usually meet five times per annum. Members of this group range from e-learning/ILT development managers to Learning Resource Managers. There will be a new Chair in this next Academic Year.
Dates for 2010-2011 are to be agreed by members of the group and Cam Swift will be contacting members towards the end of the summer holiday.

Learning Technologist Group
RSC Northern Learning Technologists Group is a new exciting forum with members from provider organisations to meet and discuss subjects around learning technology and the implication on learning and technology. This group will meet three times per annum. The Chair of the group is Paul Flynn from Stockton Riverside College.

5. Moodle User Group
An established regional user group to help support the growing trend of Moodle. Information: An increasing number of organisations are adopting Moodle as their primary or as a supplementary VLE. The Chair is Chris Kemp, ICT Co-ordinator/HoS, Middlesbrough Adult Education Service.
This well established Moodle User Group provides a forum for discussing issues topics, concerns, local resources of experience and expertise in using Moodle.

6. Specialist College Forum
RSC Northern Specialist College Forum. This group is in its infancy and the main focus is to help members of the specialist colleges integrate e-learning into the curriculum using a range of technologies.

RSC Northern Staff Development Forum meets three times per annum. The remit is to help supported providers integrate e-learning into their staff development and teaching and learning plans.
This forum meet 3 times a year and is chaired by Sue Wallace, Staff Development Manager at South Tyneside College. The Deputy Chair is Gillian Westrip, Lifelong Learning Manager at New College Durham.

RSC Northern Technical Group meets twice termy to provide an opportunity to network with colleagues and discuss relevant issues. Members of this group are in the main network managers and technical support staff. The Chair of the group is Bill Goodwin, IT Manager, Cleveland College of Art and Design and the Deputy Chair is Alan Moore, Systems and Support Manager, Middlesbrough College.

RSC Northern WBL Focus Group will meet three to four times per annum with additional workshops on occasion. The main focus of the group is to help the WBL providers integrate e-learning into teaching and learning using technology and creating opportunities to develop quality provision. The Chair is Roger Ellison, Health and Safety Manager, Banardos Palmersville Training and the Deputy Chair is Stephen Harrison, Project Manager, TTE Technical Training Group.
